landscapes
From 1984 until 1992 I lived in Drachten, province of Friesland, NL, and I drew the landscape in the neughborhood. The landscape drawings by the Dutch draftsman and painter Otto Dicke (1918-1984) were a source of inspiration. The drawings that I made are all on about 16×25 cm normal drawing paper. A couple of such drawings were bought by Museum ‘It Bleekerhûs’ and are now part of the collection of Museum Dr8888 (Museum Drachten). By accident an important part of those drawings, together with a box with other drawings, got lost. (Read at ‘Drawings’).
I also painted small landscape studies, few times they were larger. Many years and houses later I started drawing and painting the landscape around me again; today I work ‘plein-air’ on a more regular basis.
